Not sure what's going on, app used to work great. Now when I check baseball scores and look at the game tracker, the game tracker makes no sense. It tells a completely different story than the box score does and the runs don't add up at all. Sometimes it'll show the losing team actually won the game if you look at the game tracker. I uninstalled and re-installed the app, I cleared the cache, made sure the app was up to date, as well as force stopping the app. Nothing has worked.

Update: articles are now disappearing after a few paragraphs, as though the article failed to load completely. At least you can still check scores. Playing highlights and clips is impossible; you are forced to watch a 30-sec ad first, and then sometimes the video you wanted to watch doesn't actually play. Streaming live video rarely works. They publish many "articles" that are really advertisements trying to get you to subscribe to Sportsline, which is annoying.

Used to be a real good sports reporting app. Within sometime in August / September 2018, some update has now made the app drain the batteries on both an iPhone & Android phone that I have. And it seems that the app is always pulling a lot of data constantly, even during a 5 minute read of an article. The power drain was so great that both phones got quite warm all around in about a 10 - 15 minute period. I do not know what what done, but I had to uninstall the app from both phones, which are two different operating systems. Please fix!!!

Streaming video works for about a minute before buffering, stuttering, then stopping completely. Nine months ago it was a problem, and it has only gotten worse. College football, then March Madness, and now the Masters. Hardly ever worked right, no matter the connection and updates and reboots. I know live streams are tricky, and many apps have issues from time to time, but this is maddening!

The latest update doesn't allow the user to have the app open, as it did before, to the scores page. It's the news page now. Numerous emails to support and they refuse to say "no, you can't change that" only their standard "we're constantly working to refine..." Yahoo sports is the answer if you want to open an app and see the scores instead of sports gossip. Even here, they seem to respond only to the 5 star reviews. A simple user-controlled setting is all it would take. Sad.

Completely sucks. I downloaded to watch the Army-Navy game. Video kept freezing up. Then it would start playing again but a big box would cover the screen that says 'unable to play video'. Tons of commercials. Every time I would restart, I would have to watch 3 or 4 commercials (which strangely played just fine every time ) but then when the game came back on, it would freeze up again. This app sucks ... no other word for it.

it's a very good app and easy to use, navigate, & personalize. Lots of interesting articles and up-to-date news. But... (and this is probably more on CBS Sports themselves and not the app, but YESS!! It really bugs me)... Reading some of these articles, does nobody at CBS Sports proofread the articles before they are published?? Over the last 3 years, all varieties, I have encountered massive typos, or just incorrect facts... Aside from that, yes, I like the app.

Pretty good App. I like the stories and the ability to open a game to drill down to statistics. I like it for football, basketball and hockey scores. Please consider adding NCAA Volleyball to the App. Division I is attracting larger crowds every year. I would live to see tournament bracket and scores, at the very least, but regular season matches would be nice as well.

Most of the time the app is loading. It will cut away from a game even on 3rd or 4th down, no matter the situation to show an add. The games are almost impossible to watch bc, even with 5g full service, you get about 5 to 7 seconds of video and 10 to 15 seconds of buffering. It's funny however that none of the endless adds ever have a buffering problem. If you try to close the video and open it again to fix the problem you have to sit through adds before it will load the game.

The 2021 update moved this from 4 stars to one at least so far. Before update this was by far the best sports app, replaced ESNP for me. I want scheduled games, reported scores and more only when I click on it. Now it is very hard to figure out with no instructions. Even Googled to find direction with no lick. Only shows a few of the games even with All Conf. For ex, Sat (3/13) it shows one game to be played! Will look for an alternative if they don't fix it soon.

UPDATE: 2-5-2020 Not sure why CBS decided to remove some very useful widgets???? It's not just another sports app. This USED to be the best sports app. Very easy to use and the widgets are top notch. Everything is at a glance. Fast and simple. Update 4-6-17 Used to be better. Now filled with more ads which means I can't read a few sentences without getting pounded by a stationary banner ad along the bottom and one right in the middle of the glorious articles I want to read.

This app is biased towards showing NBA and NFL news. I wanted it to keep up with Men's NCAA basketball, but even with March Madness approaching, most of the front page coverage is NFL and NBA news and videos. And man are there a lot of videos. I guess I'm old-school, but I would much rather read an in-depth article about something than watch a video of the "highlights" of a game. And if you select more than a couple of teams as favorites you will be inundated with notifications on your phone. I turned off notifications two days after I installed this app, it was just so annoying getting notifications 8-10 times a day, especially for news I wasn't interested in, such as for teams/players which were not in my favorites.

Josh McCarthy

I used to love the app. It was how I could keep up w/ games which weren't being broadcast in my region. Over the past 5-6 months, the app has continued to degrade. It won't update scores, it won't update play by play or scoring. It'll work for a bit then stops working (zero score updates) on an individual game. Today was the final straw. Checking the Mets & it says homered to center. Missing the player. Next inning it again doesn't have the player who drove in runs. Cleared & reinstalled too

I love to stay current with all things sports, and I love how they always break in when something happens. Update 5-15-25: VERY UPSET. While reading an article or story now, at a certain point, I am no longer able to scroll anymore, as if the app locks up. This is followed by the app closing and my having to go back in, find the story again, and TRY to reread or finish the item. It's as if there is a time limit now regarding the stories. W. T. F?

Robert Blount

Ads are killing the reading experience! This was a good app for keeping up with current sports news. For the most part, it still is, but now I can no longer read articles through. Half of the article just goes blank. My guess is that it's due to an add simply taking over the screen. I'm not sure I can continue using this app if this keeps going.

Easton Alan

Been using this app since it started, your new news section is a joke, if I want to see my teams listed at the top I'll click on the my teams link, no need to force feed me and put all my teams news at the top, and general news at the bottom where I have to scroll and scroll and scroll to get there I'm switching to Yahoo sports full time. Tried this again 2.26 and now no records in the match. Your application architects are brutal 🎯bye

Steve R

Great app, I think a cool addition would be in the Gametracker tab, it would be nice to have an option to reverse the order and see the end of game plays first. Sometimes I just want to see how it ended and I have to scroll 5 or 6 big scrolls to get to the bottom. Love the articles too!

Cody Huisken

EDIT: I'm an idiot and didn't know there were settings to fix my complaints. Per the reply to my previous review, the app is better than ever. Still has some issues watching CBS even while signed into DISH because my P+ subscription isn't the premium one, but that shouldn't matter cuz I have DISH. But other than that, perfect app.

C! Need to add more sports to scores11/24/25 Response to app developer app doesn't allow certain sports on scores so what do🫵🏾U want people 2do🤔if they won't allow it & even have other college women's or men's sports scores!?!3-9-26

Watson Anaem

Constant popups about disabling an ad blocker make this app almost unusable. Also shows World Baseball Classic in the Scores tab despite me having all baseball turned off.
