The game is a lot of fun when the app works. It's pretty glitchy. I sometimes have to open and close it repeatedly to get it to load my location. The layout of the app needs attention. I can never find my rewards because they're scattered across four or five menus plus a couple of other places I wouldn't think to click. Having everything in one place would actually make sense.

ASHLEY RUTLEDGE

Have played this game since the day it came out with many highs and lows over the years. But this has become one of the most frustrating periods! I have not been able to play in over a month! The game litterally freezes within 2 seconds of loading. You CAN'T play! There was ONE day in the last 30 that it played no problem and then that night it froze again and has ever since. I've seen so many complaints about it and hope they fix it soon otherwise they will lose countless players forever.

TeamOzone365

As a long time pokemon fan, the game really is fun and a great way to encourage exercise and exploration. However, it's got a lot of limitations that I wish I could see improvement on-- specifically, scheduling. Many events last only an hour, and all events are exclusively during the day. This may not be an issue for most people, but sadly I work the graveyard shift and sleep during the day, so if I want to participate in raids, community days, or highlight hours, I have to forgo sleep.

Dakota

Id say the game is still fun and playable. but that's as far as the good things go. The microtransactions are worse than ever, just reviving your Pokémon can be a struggle. its hard just to get together and play it anymore because there's constant issues with someone or everyone not having a raid pass, or having to buy a remote raid pass. its quite annoying and I loved this game when it first came out. I cant give it anything above 3 stars.

Craig Sullivan

As immersive as you allow it to be. The framework of the game is very outdated, but it gets the job done. Still a lot to be desired (better achievement system would be a great start), but I'm afraid a new game would have to be created to get a much better experience. Addictive, gets you out, gets you walking/running, and there are people playing it almost everywhere if you want to socialize. Amazing game.

SerenityValley9

Lower remote raid pass prices! It's stupid high now. Go back to 250 coins for 3. It was much better when it was like that. Now it takes a week and a half to save up for three, and buying three doesn't save you coins unless there's a fake discount meant to make you think you're getting a deal even though you aren't because you are still massively over paying. It's ridiculous. The average casual player, which is the vast majority of the player base, agrees because this makes it harder to play.

I've been playing since 2019. It used to be better, as many are saying. The current problem with mine is that even though adventure sync is turned on, it's not working. I only collect kms when the game is running (and eating through my battery, even though I'm not playing). My other complaint is that when they redid levels, they gave you tons of items (awesome), then later said, "Oops here's 200 extra storage." Yet, I'm still out of storage from the level change. 🙄

I like this game, I redownload it a lot, I caught a shiny shelder my first time. Though sadly I don't get to walk a lot, and when I do I never come by poke' stops. Furthermore, as time passed this game is basically impossible to play if you don't spend money or have friends. 2020 made the game a bit more enjoyable but as time has gone on, I find it difficult to enjoy, especially since they made dynamax battles impossible without anyone nearby.

Andy Rathman

I enjoy the game, and it does encourage you to get out and go for a walk. HOWEVER, it can be quite frustrating at times playing this on an ANDROID device. To catch a Pokemon you must "throw" the poke ball by swiping up from the bottom of the page... This is the exact same motion used to CLOSE THE APP!!!!! Someone did not put much thought into this.

Alycia Kay

This app is so neat and it keeps me active, but the glitches/bugs are unreal. Over the last couple days, it has been cheating me out of km walked with my buddy. GPS errors for no obvious reason, gym errors, sound cutting out randomly, etc. - all problems I've had within the last two weeks, let alone over the 9+ years I've been playing. A game with such expensive in-app purchases should offer a higher quality experience.

Leah Parriott

Played since 2016 and they add more and more things to buy. Max Particles for the new raids. Harder than normal so you'll probably need Max Mushrooms. Remote Raid Passes if you're not in a major city. Oh, the boss ran because they're souped up now? Twice? Better buy more. Look, I realize games cost money, I'm not opposed to occasionally spending, but after a while becomes more practical to play something else. 40 bucks gets me a PC game that never bugs me for more.

Brooklyn Wooden

Very fun game when it works, but it hardly ever works. It's become unplayable at times. For a game as big as this, that gets tons of money and updates all the time, they seem to never actually fix the problems. There's ALWAYS a problem. Random white and black screens that freeze the game, random crashes, delayed ball throwing animations, constantly signing me out, etc. All of these happen multiple times on the daily.

Stevie J

Microtransactions have become more and more expensive. I have no issue buying items: the developers etc need a paycheck just like the rest of us. But prices are higher now than before, just look at the bundles on the store, and ticket prices. Plus, it's borderline pay to win anymore, and lately, there's a paywall if you want a greater chance at adding the latest Pokemon to your Pokedex, not to mention the the bugs & shoddy customer support. There much more to say, but I'm out of room.

Dana Jo Outlaw (Korin)

All of the reviews citing leveling update woes are 100% accurate and correct. Rollouts are done terribly! I've never seen an app take up so much space and have so many updates but nothing actually improves. The goals want you to catch 20, 30, 40 pokémon in a day or a week or a month, but you don't get half the items to do that with, so it's geared heavily toward pay to play now. I have to go through periods of inactivity because of a limited storage space for Pokemon. Shame. It could be good.

Justin Carter

I used to love this game, and still play it daily. However, it has become extremely buggy and more of a money grab over time, making it less enjoyable. Now today for the first time the app will not open at all, with my phone telling me there is a bug in PoGo and to clear my cache; then when that failed to work it advised me to wait for the publisher to issue and update. Just like the one I had to download yesterday. smh

Kyle Nichols

Buggy as hell, when an update comes in you can't play until you install it. After the last update I can no longer log in. The game was awesome at first but has become more and more frustrating to the point where it's not worth it anymore. update: it got worse. They've turned the game into a micro-transaction nightmare, a total pay-to-play. There's 3 level 50 trainers who will not allow anyone to takeover a gym. I can't feed berries to my Pokemon when a gym is being raided, but they can and do

Michael

I just find there could so easily be more done to streamline the accessibility & make this a worthwhile experience. It feels empty to a degree; pay to win; & the sheer grind can wear on you heavily. Small, user-friendly additional content would go a long way. This game yearns for a Tamagotchi-like component, as well as a way to show off your Pokémon to others. Unfortunately, as it stands, this is as barebones as it gets, & with so many paying so much, it likely will not change. Give a little.

Krista Sabatke

I am quite addicted to this game, unfortunately. I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. My problem is the company in general. I bought remote raid passes with real money. I completed a raid but the app froze before I could get to the catch encounter. I filed a complaint, and a bot responded that there was no problem and they would not reimburse me. I have since found out this happens regularly. It would cost them nothing to fix this, but they choose to do the wrong thing instead.

Cyndi Hines

Since the update it glitches all the time now. I can't spin poke stops or catch Pokemon the screen is frozen. Also when playing with your buddy it has to be restarted to get the tracks to show up for you to click on to have it show on the screen. This is pretty much every time I play the game. It's not my device it started with the recent update. Now it's freezing several times a day and I have to restart the game. THIS IS RIDICULOUS STILL NOT WORKING!!!!!!

Tyler Clark

I've done everything to troubleshoot, and as many others are saying- after the recent update, you can't get the game past the first screen, or you get stuck on "enter date of birth" and can't enter a date. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, restarted phone. I tried every suggestion. I'm upset because I play everyday, now I'm sitting with nothing to do and frustrated, and Niantic hasn't addressed the issue/ say nothing about fixing it. Will change it to 5 stars, if a fix is ever made.
